Mary Sue, You will be able to submit an application for 2011 Humana Gold Choice beginning on November 15, assuming it will be available in your area. The rates for 2011 Humana Medicare plans are not yet available. This site is not a Humana site, and as such, do not have access to all brochures for each State. You will more than likely receive some marketing materials from Humana Medicare plans beginning in October. You may want to compare the Humana Choice and the Humana Gold Choice plans for 2011.

Here is the phone number for Secure Horizons. 1-800-547-5514. Secure Horizons offers the AARP Medicare Complete Advantage plans. This site is not an AARP site, and as such, we do not have access to materials for all AARP Medicare Complete plans. You may or may not have a PPO Medicare Complete plan available in your area. Some service areas only have HMO plans available for Medicare Complete.

I had Humana Gold Choice for year of 2009. A local representative for Cigna convinced me along wth others to go with Cigna. I have found Humana was and looks like is still a much much better plan. I would like to get brochure along with premium cost for Humana for year 2011, that is on the Gold Choice Plan PFFS. Also I would like to know the enrollment date for me to change to Humana for 2011, brochures on plans and cost.

I certainly understand your frustration, but before you quit Medicare, make sure you have researched you situation by visiting medicare.gov to view all your options. In most cases you will have several choices for 2011 Medicare Advantage plans if a Medigap and drug plan are unaffordable.

You have several Secure Horizons Medicare Advantage plans available in San Diego CA. There are four AARP Medicare Complete plans in San Diego with drug overage included and one Medicare Complete plan that offers medical only. I am disabled and am losing my adavantage plan. If I can not find another one I plan on quitting medicare all together as I can not afford medicare, medigap and a drug plqan. Those of us who are disabled are getting the shoet end of the stick.

Joe, There seems to be some confusion about Health Care Reform and 2011 Medicare Advantage plans. You will receive information about your 2011 AARP Medicare Complete plan in the mail. As with all Medicare Advantage plans, things can change from year to year. Secure Horizons Medicare Complete is a network based plan, and more than likely you will find that you will be able to keep the plan for 2011. Those Secure Horizons members with Medicare Direct, a PFFS plan, may not be as fortunate and may need to look for another option.

Watch for any communications from Secure Horizons as it relates to your 2011 AARP Medicare Complete plan and review you benefits to determine if keeping the plan will be right for you. I think it will be a good option for 2011. I comment on many different plans and do not speak for Secure Horizons.
