I have AARP Medicare complete as my plan. I received a silver sneakers card but when I went to the website to sign it said it had no record of my account. Do I have silver sneakers with this plan and where do I get information on where I can go in my area to utilize it. I would appreciate your help and cooperatio i this matter.

Valter, Determining the suitability of a Medicare Advantage plan should be based on your specific needs. How others who may have different needs than yours feel about Evercare is not a good measure of how you may feel about Evercare. If you are looking for some objective yardstick, visit medicare.gov and see the Medicare Stat rating compared to other plans. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Kay, I would ask your therapist which Medicare plans she accepts and then review each of those plans in depth. You can visit medicare.gov to see all plans in your area. You can then link to each plan so you can review the Provider Directory and Summary of Benefits for each plan. Also, if the therapist’s services are generally covered under Medicare, you could purchase a Medigap policy and you would not be subject to receiving services in a network.

Norma, I’m not sure what type of AARP Medicare plan you have, but would recommend that you call the customer service number on your card to find out if the issue is with your plan or with the type of vision service that you have received. Medicare covers very little in the way of vision.

David, I am going to be eligible for Medicare in Nov 2012. My therapist is not listed as a Medicare provider. I understand that I need to find a Part C HMO that she is listed under. How do I go about doing this? I live in Charlottesville, VA. Is there one site that I can look at to help me know which insurance companies are available and what they offer?

My opthamalogist informed me that aarp medicare was not paying specialist. Why not? If they are not paying their bills I need to get another policy.

Susann, You can cancel a Medicare supplement anytime. It would be wise to apply for and be approved for a new plan before you cancel the Mutual of Omaha Plan F. You can shop online or call 888-310-0376 to get quotes on multiple plans.

Hello,
Mutual of Omaha just raised my monthly rate by $25.00 for
plan F. I have payments withdrawn from my checking acct.
monthly. I want to cancel this insurance. What are my rights in Texas? and where can I find a good supplement
for Medicare? How does the off enrolling season affect
my situation or am I at the mercy of the insurance co. I have A and B Medicare.
